Research On YZ Network Company’s Revenue Audit Risk

With the continuous development of information technology,people’s lives have become more and more convenient,so people’s leisure time has gradually increased,and the demand for entertainment activities has also continued to increase.As one of the entertainment activities of online games,its products are developing in the direction of more virtualization and complexity.How to regulate the accounting treatment of online game companies has also become an urgent problem to be solved.At the same time,how to audit online game companies has also become a major problem in the audit industry.In particular,the audit of the revenue of online game companies is crucial to the completion of the audit work.However,apart from the "On Online Game Enterprise Revenue Audit Skills and Methods" issued by the Beijing Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2016,which summarizes the audit issues of online game companies,there are no other relevant regulations.Therefore,research on the revenue audit risk of this type of company can better identify and respond to the revenue audit risk of online game companies and reduce the probability of audit failure.Combined with the provisions of the new revenue standards,and based on the audit risk theory,this article takes YZ Internet Company as the research object,and analyzed the audit risk of online game companies’ revenue from two aspects: major misstatement risk and inspection risk.Based on this analysis,it is concluded that the reasons for the inability to accurately assess the risk of material misstatement are: auditors do not fully understand the online game market environment;auditors have difficulty checking the price of virtual goods;and auditors cannot judge the rationality of the timing of precipitation revenue recognition.The causes of inspection risk are: auditors take a small percentage of samples and there is a certain lag in the training of auditors.Finally,according to different risk causes,the proposed countermeasures are to reasonably assess the risk of major misstatements,formulate special online game enterprise auditing methods within the accounting firm,develop digital audit software,strengthen the professional training of auditors,and the accounting firm should strictly implement it "Quality control review system".It is hoped that these measures can help certified public accountants to accurately identify and assess the major risks of misstatement faced by enterprises,reduce inspection risks when auditing the income of Internet game companies,and improve audit quality and efficiency.As a typical Internet game company,YZ Internet Company has a certain degree of representativeness in its operating and profit models.The research on the audit risk of its income has improved the research on the field of income audit risk of online game companies at the practical level,and has certain guiding significance for the prevention of income audit risk of online game companies.
