Since 2018,with the continuous introduction of the guidance document for strengthening the graduation design of higher vocational education by the Department of education of Hunan Province,Hunan Province has entered a new stage in attaching importance to the graduation design of higher vocational education.The graduation project of higher vocational education is the final and most important part of the training program of higher vocational talents and one of the important parts of practical teaching.However,due to the particularity of funds,teachers,students and so on,there are many practical problems that conflict with the high-quality graduation project.At present,there are serious problems such as plagiarism,improper selection of graduation project,insufficient ability and attention of students,lack of teachers’guidance ability and patience,lack of school supervision and management.It is an urgent task to improve the quality of graduation project of private higher vocational education.At present,there is a lack of systematic evaluation system for the completion process and quality results of graduation design in higher vocational colleges,and most of them focus on a single subject,lack of mutual evaluation between subjects.And less empirical research shows that the known reasons affect the quality of graduation project.Based on the existing literature,this paper attempts to establish a systematic and complete investigation system of graduation project.Finally,this study will break through a subject survey,and make cross evaluation among students,teachers and teaching management departments,so as to achieve objective and fair evaluation results.In order to improve the quality of graduation design of private higher vocational colleges,based on the theory of learning input and effective teaching theory,based on the mature scale and the questionnaire compiled by experts’ opinions,this paper gives out questionnaires to the graduates,the tutors of graduation design and the managers related to graduation design of two Private Higher Vocational Colleges in Hunan Province(H Private Higher Vocational College and Q Private Higher Vocational College).A total of 960 valid student questionnaires,84 valid teacher questionnaires and 48 valid teaching management department questionnaires were collected.The data were analyzed by spss24.0,including descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis,regression analysis and intermediary test.The results of quantitative research show that:(1)students’ factors have a significant positive correlation with the quality of graduation project,and the degree of influence is the greatest.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between the factors of teaching management department and the quality of graduation project,and the influence level is inferior to that of students.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between teachers’factors and the quality of graduation project,and the influence degree is the weakest among the three variables.(4)Student factor plays a part of intermediary role in the influence of teacher factor and teaching management department factor on the quality of graduation project.In addition,based on the in-depth interviews with the graduates,graduation design instructors and graduation design managers,this paper further explores the factors affecting the quality of graduation design.Finally,from the perspective of private higher vocational students,teachers and teaching management departments,the paper puts forward suggestions for improvement.
