The employment satisfaction of college students is an important indicator of the quality of college students’ employment.It can reflect the overall feelings of college students on the job from an objective and subjective level.Higher employment satisfaction can enable college students to achieve better job-matching,have higher work enthusiasm and stability,etc.It is conducive to the stability and development of enterprises and society,and also helps to improve the rational use of college students human resources.Among the many factors that affect the employment satisfaction of college students,personality traits play a very important role.Especially the current college graduates is shifting to the post-95s group,which is different from the overall characteristics of the post-80s group and even the post-90s student group.Post-95s group students have stronger personality traits.Different personality traits will affect the psychological and actual performance of college graduates,and then affect the level of employment satisfaction.At the same time,social capital is a very important resource in the process of individual employment and career development.Therefore,this research will creatively link personality traits with social capital,and study the impact of these two factors on employment satisfaction of college graduates.This study establishes a model of personality traits,social capital,and employment satisfaction of college students.The college students within one year of graduation are taken as the research object.The method of empirical research is used.Using the results of 329 questionnaires,the statistical software analyzed the collected questionnaire data and verified the mediating role of social capital between personality traits and employment satisfaction.The results show that:(1)all dimensions of the Big Five personality have a significant impact on college student employment satisfaction,of which,extraversion,conscientiousness,openness to experience and agreeableness have a positive impact on college student employment satisfaction,well neuroticism has has a negative impact on college student employment satisfaction;(2)the extraversion,neuroticism,openness of experience and agreeableness in the Big Five personality have a significant impact on social capital,and conscientiousness hasn’t been found to affect social capital;(3)social capital in there is an intermediary role between extroversion and college student employment satisfaction,neuroticism and college student employment satisfaction,openness to experience and college student employment satisfaction,and agreeableness and college student employment satisfaction.Finally,based on the results of the study,this study puts forward specific suggestions on how to improve the personality traits of college students and enhance their social capital from four aspects:society,colleges,families,and college students themselves.This research has important theoretical and practical significance for improving the employment satisfaction of college graduates from the perspective of personality traits and social capital.
