| In the past three years,the number of tourist growth in Guizhou Province ranks first in China,and tourism is playing an increasingly important role in the regional economy.In the context of the rapid development of the tourism industry,many secondary vocational schools have set up hotel management major.However,in recent years,the enrollment scale of secondary vocational tourism has been reduced.The reasons are that secondary vocational training personnel can not meet the needs of the high-end tourism market for tourism talents,and the employment of students is difficult.The curriculum setting is very important to the training of hotel professionals,but many schools lack comprehensive and in-depth market research and guidance of experts in the hotel industry.Most of the courses offered by the school are national general courses,lack of indigenous knowledge courses of tourism in Guizhou,and neglect of the actual needs of employers.The trained students do not know the basic situation of their area until graduation,which indirectly results in the situation where Guizhou tourism is "raised in the boudoir without popularity ".Optimizing the curriculum is of great significance to improve the quality of talent training.Taking the S secondary vocational school of Guizhou Province as an example,this paper analyzes and discusses the curriculum objectives,curriculum structure and curriculum content of hotel management majorthrough the research on the curriculum of hotel management major in S school.And then this paper sums up the problems such as the disconnection between the curriculum of hotel specialty and the market demand,the lack of Guizhou characteristics in the curriculum,the neglect of the cultivation of students’ professional spirit and professionalism in the curriculum,the unreasonable curriculum structure and the lagging of the curriculum content.The main causes of the problems are the lack of in-depth market research,the lack of teachers,the lack of school-enterprise cooperation,the lack of participation in the industry,and the lack of timely update of the talent training plan,which leads to the lack of scientific and targeted curriculum.Then,from the perspective of serving the economic development of local tourism industry and combining the characteristics of Guizhou tourism cultural resources,the paper puts forward a reasonable path of curriculum optimization,which is to clarify the goal of talent cultivation,adjust the curriculum structure,enrich the curriculum content,strengthen the construction of teaching staff,etc.,in order to provide help for the optimization of talent cultivation in Guizhou hotels. |
