The Relationship Between Family Function And Social Adaptation Of Migrant Children Of Junior Middle School

As the process of urbanization continues to accelerate,a large number of rural families begin to move into urban life,so migrant children become a special group.From the familiar hometown to the unfamiliar city,re-adapt to the environment has become the primary task of development for migrant children.The family system is a microcosmic system in the migrant children’s adaptation system.In unfamiliar school environment and living environment,whether migrant children can feel the support from teachers and peers is also very important for them to adapt to the society.Resilience is a trait that an individual can successfully adapt to and adapt to adverse situations.Therefore,this study comprehensively considered the social adaptation of migrant children from the perspective of individual characteristics,family system and social support system.This study used convenient sampling method,in Anshan city of Nanjing and two migrant children schools selected 700 junior middle school students,the questionnaire survey to explore floating children family functioning,understanding social support,mental toughness and the relationship between social adaptation,and USES structural equation model,to explore floating children family functioning through the understanding of social support and mental toughness chain intermediary role’s impact on social adaptation.Research shows that:(1)There was a significant positive correlation between family function and perceived social support,resilience and social adaptation of migrant children;Perceived social support is positively correlated with resilience and social adaptation;There was a significant positive correlation between resilience and social adaptation.(2)Family function of migrant children positively predicts social adaptation.(3)Family function of migrant children predicts social adaptation through the chain mediating effect of perceived social support and resilience.
