As an important part of modern vocational education,five-year higher vocational education enriches and develops the content and forms of vocational education,and is one of the forms of higher vocational education.Compared with three-year higher vocational education,it has the advantages of student source,length of schooling and actual effect.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,five-year education at the junior college level existed for a certain period of time and then stagnated.In 1983,China’s economic level began to develop,which made the society in great request of the technical application-oriented talents who can go on the front line.With the expansion of enrollment,the college students are under double pressure of new economic form and difficult employment.As a production line of skilled talents of higher vocational graduates employment is facing new pressures and challenges,and the five-year higher vocational students as a special group in the higher vocational education face greater pressure and challenges,the employment problems gradually appear.In the rapid development of five-year intermediate and higher vocational education,LZ Vocational and Technical College has its own development characteristics,which promotes the multiple connections between secondary and higher vocational education,and also trains a large number of applied skills talents for the society.With the increasing enrollment of Vocational and Technical College,a large number of five-year vocational college graduates enter the highly competitive employment market.How to make the five-year vocational college graduates of LZ Vocational and Technical College seize the employment opportunities and give full play to their advantages and get a smooth job is a problem we need to face.This problem is not only related to the healthy,orderly and moderate development of the five-year vocational college education in LZ Vocational and Technical College,but also the practical problems faced by the students themselves and their families.This study aims to find the effective strategy of employment for five-year vocational students.Through the survey of the employment status of five-year vocational students at LZ Vocational and Technical College,using literature analysis,questionnaire surveys,interviews and other research methods,we found the employment rate and skill level of five-year vocational students in employment are lower than the Non-five-year vocational students.Also some of the five-year vocational students are lack of self-confidence in employment,facing problems as low quality of employment,insufficient and weak awareness of entrepreneurship awareness,comprehensive ability do not adapt to social needs and other issues.This study also analyzed the reasons for different problems mentioned above.According to the actual situation and the analysis of the problem,the research proposes a detailed analysis of the factors that cause the problem,and puts forward the effective strategy of employment such as effective integration of multiple parties,establishing a scientific view of employment,improving employment quality,cultivating entrepreneurial awareness and the coordinated development of comprehensive and professional ability.Thus,the talents trained by LZ Vocational and Technical College have both superb skills and sufficient theoretical literacy,which lays a solid foundation for the employment of five-year vocational college students to serve society.
