Lack of gratitude among students has become a common phenomenon,appearing at all levels of education,which has attracted the attention of educators.In recent decades,with the guidance and assistance of government policies,the secondary vocational education has developed rapidly and become an important part of Chinese education.However,the problem of lack of gratitude is particularly prominent among secondary vocational students.Therefore,it is of great significance to provide gratitude education in secondary vocational colleges.This research conducted a sample survey in Chengdu Railway Health School to investigate their current gratitude performance and the views on gratitude education,point out the existing problems and put forward the corresponding countermeasures.The main findings are as follows:1.Different gratitude performance and education among the secondary vocational students.In terms of gratitude behavior,the level of third-graders was significantly higher than that of first-and second-graders;the level of students from families with an annual income of 100,000 or more was significantly higher than that of families with an annual income of less than 20,000;the level of "9 + 3" students was higher than that of non-"9 + 3" students.In terms of gratitude emotion,third-graders scored significantly lower than first-and second-graders;the level of Tibetan students were significantly lower than that of other ethnic students;the level of "9 + 3" students were lower than that of non-"9 + 3" students.In terms of gratitude cognitive,there was no significant difference between the three grades;however,the level of students from non-one-child family was higher than that from the one-child family.In terms of gratitude education,third-year students scored significantly higher than first-and second-year students,but there were no significant differences between other factors.2.Correlation analysis and regression analysis of gratitude three-dimensional and gratitude education status showed that gratitude cognition,emotion and behavior were significantly positively related to the status of gratitude education,that is,the better the gratitude education,the higher the three-dimensional level of gratitude.The impact degree of gratitude education on them is: gratitude behavior(41.9%),gratitude cognition(19.3%),gratitude emotion(6.6%).3.The problems of gratitude status of secondary vocational students are as follows:(1)gratitude cognition is not deep enough,and is obviously affected by the family;(2)The lack of gratitude emotional experience reduces the gratitude emotional stability,which is susceptible to the environment;(3)gratitude behavior is affected by the wealth gap.4.Several problems of gratitude education for secondary vocational students are as follows:(1)the goals of gratitude education are not clear,and the evaluation mechanism of gratitude education is unavailable;(2)lack of a high-quality gratitude education team;(3)gratitude education has not formed a system.To solve the above problems,we propose to establish a gratitude education model consisting of knowledge-attitude-belief-practice,strengthen the cultivation of gratitude education teachers with moral skills,improve the gratitude education mechanism to elevate the gratitude level of secondary vocational students. |
