Abstract/Summary:
With the rise of tourism in big countries,the hotel industry has a growing demand for high-skilled and high-quality personnel.To this end,China has issued a series of documents on the reform of vocational education and teaching,such as "the Ministry of Education on deepening the reform of vocational education and teaching to comprehensively improve the quality of personnel training," and so on,"Case method" has been mentioned repeatedly in many national documents to be used in vocational education teaching in an attempt to improve the quality of vocational education in terms of teaching methods.On the other hand,there are still a lot of problems in the teaching of the Case method in the major of operation and management of star-rated hotels in secondary vocational schools.There is a serious disconnect between the research upsurge at home and abroad and the practice links in the Case method,there is a big gap between what is supposed to be and what is,which is why Case method,a powerful teaching method,has not been able to play a real role in teaching.To this end,the study of Case method in the use of secondary vocational schools in the current situation and problems,for the future use of Case method teachers to provide countermeasures and guidance.The purpose of this study is to improve the use of Case method in the teaching of high-star Hotel operation and management in secondary vocational schools,based on the methods of questionnaire survey,participatory interview,classroom observation and literature review,this paper investigates the application of Case method in star-rated hotels in vocational and technical colleges.This study finds that there are some problems in the teaching of the Case method in g university,such as the cognitive deviation of the teachers and students,the inadequate preparation of the Case method,the untypical cases,the ambiguity of the teaching plan and so on,on this basis,it analyzes the reasons of teachers,students and schools,according to the special situation of the major of operation and management of high-star hotels in g school,this paper puts forward some pertinent suggestions in teaching and school level: teachers need to strengthen the study of their own professional knowledge of education and teaching,and to correctly understand the Case method;organize and implement the Case method,including case selection,teaching plan arrangement,etc..Arrange your energy reasonably and increase the frequency of using Case method.The school attaches more importance to Case method and provides necessary teaching conditions to support the implementation of Case method.Based on the summary of the implementation of the Case method,this study combined with the characteristics of g university’s High Star Hotel Operation and management specialty,case method application design for room service and management courses,food service and management courses,the Design Scheme covers teaching courses,teaching objects,teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching AIDS,case selection and compilation,teaching process,etc.,it is expected to provide a reference sample for the teaching practice of Case method in the major of star-rated hotel operation and management.
