Academic career refers to a profession that takes systematic and advanced knowledge as the working object,and takes the discovery,integration,application and dissemination of knowledge as the content of work.Academic career development is mainly manifested in five aspects: publication of papers,academic productivity,academic reputation,promotion of professional titles and economic income.College teachers play an important role in academic research.As a part of college teachers,physical education teachers learn from the existing survey data that there are few studies on the development of sports teachers ’academic careers.What is the current situation of sports teachers’ academic career development? What are the factors that affect its development? How to promote the professional development of physical education teachers in ordinary undergraduate colleges in Yunnan Province is the key to this research.In this paper,using the literature method,expert interview method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics method and logical analysis method,the research on the academic career development of physical education teachers in ordinary undergraduate colleges in Yunnan Province was conducted and the following conclusions were drawn:1.The academic professional development of PE teachers in Yunnan universities has the following characteristics.The number of subjects presiding above the provincial and ministerial level is relatively small.More;lower academic productivity;a relatively small number of physical education teachers have a relatively high academic reputation;the promotion of professional titles is relatively stable;and the economic income brought by academic research institutions is average.2.There are significant differences in the academic development of physical education teachers in different types of colleges,genders,job types,ages,teaching ages,professional titles and academic degrees.Physical education teachers in comprehensive,normal and medical colleges have relatively better academic andprofessional development than physical education teachers in other types of colleges,and male sports teachers have better academic and professional development than female teachers.Age and teaching age are consistent with professional development theory.In the period of professional passion,the academic career development is better.The professional career development of sports teachers with the title of professor is the best.The physical education teachers with high academic degrees are better than those with low academic degrees.3.Academic career development is related to the influence of individuals,families and society.Proper professional cognition and planning,good academic communication,and a good school environment are all significantly positively related to the academic development of sports teachers.The conflict between work and life and social support are all related to the professional development of sports teachers.Significantly negative correlation,appropriate professional pressure will promote the academic career development of physical education teachers.4.The professional development of physical education teachers in ordinary undergraduate colleges in Yunnan Province is facing opportunities and challenges,and we have researched ways to promote their development.From a personal perspective,we must improve our own development consciousness;from a family perspective,balance the relationship between family life and work;from a social perspective,establish a long-term mechanism for balanced development.According to the results of the above discussion,from a personal,family and social perspective,explore a suitable path for the professional development of physical education teachers in ordinary undergraduate colleges in Yunnan Province,and finally put forward relevant suggestions for this study.
