Shaoyi Waizhuan is a children’s book compiled by Lv Zuqian,a famous scholar of the Southern Song Dynasty,he excerpts and compilations of predecessors’ words and deeds in order to educate his children.The book was first named Shuai chu,later renamed Bianzhilu,and finally named Shaoyi Waizhuan.The reason why it is named after Liji Shaoyi,is hoped that this can promote the family’s children to develop a good code of conduct,better inherit the good family style of the LV family.Title evolution and version circulation of Shaoyi Waizhuan,and analysis the differences between Shaoyi Waizhuan and Bianzhilu deeply.It is helpful for people to better understand the process of writing and dissemination of Shaoyi Waizhuan,so as to better explore its literature value.As a compilation of historical materials,Shaoyi Waizhuan is rich in cited documents and has high literature value:On the one hand,it cited 67 kinds of documents and all of them marked the source of the literature.Some of the documents have been lost,and the relevant contents can only be preserved by Shaoyi Waizhuan,so it has a high value of collecting lost.On the other hand,although there are versions of some documents handed down,they inevitably have some problems in the process of circulation.Because Shaoyi Waizhuan was written earlier,we can correct the errors of some handed down documents according to the relevant contents quoted by it,so it has high collation value.As a famous family in Song Dynasty,the LV family attached great importance to the family education and family style inheritance of their children.In Shaoyi Waizhuan,many educational celebrity stories and the words and deeds of their ancestors were quoted,which helped the children of the LV family develop good behavior habits and carry forward the good family style of the LV family.
