This paper concerns about behavior provisions of women’ family life in SongDynasty and investigates these women’ status in the family. Thispart includes the sections: the life of the odalisque, nurse at that time. how the women indifferent life stages played different characters in such a relaxed social and mentalenvironment.Through analyzing historical materials about the relevant provisions of women rightof Song Dynasty, this paper firstly talks about virgin’s position in the family. And thenstates that wives had the rights to divorce and to marry another man. The motherhoodhad the right to teach their children and had the commandment of their children’ marriage.All above demonstrates their high status in the family.
