Since the 21 st century,the impact of globalization has deepened,the "One Belt And One Road" initiative was put forward by General Secretary Xi.Shenzhen is faced with the opportunity to build the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and demonstration pilot zone for socialism with Chinese characteristics.In order to keep pace with the social development of Shenzhen,Shenzhen is vigorously promoting the internationalization of education,improving the level of education internationalization,and providing the talents for the construction and development of Shenzhen.Developing the Education of International Understanding(EIU)is an important measure to promote the internationalization of education.The study found that there is a lack of research on the primary school level,and primary education is an important part of education by sorting out relevant literature.Therefore,this study will use questionnaire survey and interview to investigate the current situation of Education for International Education and the competence of international understanding of primary school students,how to implement EIU and its dilemma as well as finding out the factors affecting the implementation of EIU.What is found that the overall level of students’ competence of international understanding is high.In terms of dimensions,students scored relatively high in the dimension of international understanding attitude,indicating that students can respect cultural diversity and they are willing to conduct cross-cultural communication.The dimension of knowledge and skills is slightly lower,which indicates that the school still needs to strengthen students’ understanding of cultural knowledge at home and abroad and enrich students’ international perspective.More attention should be paid to cultivate students’ English language ability and improve their international communication ability.The implementation of EIU includes subject infiltration,specific course and practice activities.Current difficulties implementation include some teachers’ misunderstanding on the concept of Education for International Education,unqualified teachers and that the system of the course system has not yet beenconstructed.The influencing factors of implementation refers to the social policy,school culture,teachers’ quality,teaching method,international understanding the influence of the teaching material contents,school’s culture and students’ subjective initiative of the driver.Finally,countermeasures and suggestions are put forward. |
