This paper investigates and studies the scientific literacy of secondary vocational school students,understands the basic scientific literacy level and influencing factors of secondary vocational school students,and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for cultivating and improving the scientific literacy level of secondary vocational school students.This study selected Wanrong Vocational Education Center as the research object,and selected literature analysis,investigation,interview as the research methods.A total of 120 questionnaires and 110 valid questionnaires were issued.Through the statistical analysis of the survey results,the following conclusions are drawn:For the students,scientific literacy level of the overall pass rate is 63.64%,The pass rate of scientific content is 65.45%,the degree of understanding of the nature of science is 57.27%.In terms of understanding of STS,the pass rate is 62.73%.It can be seen that secondary vocational school students have a good grasp of scientific knowledge,but a poor understanding of the nature of science.In addition,it was found that the scientific literacy of male students was slightly higher than that of female students and the scientific literacy of science students was slightly higher than that of liberal arts students,but there was no significant difference between the two groups.The average score of influencing factors of scientific literacy in Wanrong Vocational Education Center was 2.99.Among them,learning interest score was the highest 3.78,learning anxiety score was the lowest 2.45 points.It can be seen that secondary vocational school students’ interest in scientific knowledge is strong,but at the same time,the lack of effective learning strategies leads to higher learning anxiety.According to the results of investigation and research,this paper puts forward several suggestions to cultivate and improve the scientific literacy: the department of education should speed up the implementation of scientific quality actions aimed at secondary vocational schools.The scientific literacy curriculum should be included in the training plan of the secondary vocational school students and so on.
