With the advent of the era of economic globalization,the development level of science and technology has gradually become an important indicator of a new country’s social productivity and comprehensive national strength.And the ability of independent innovation is an inexhaustible motive force to promote and promote China’s scientific and technological progress.In this context,taking the road of production-study-research cooperation has become an inevitable choice for enterprises and research institutions.Shanxi Province,as a typical inland province with heavy industry as its main economic source,has a very high dependence on resources.Insufficient innovation capacity and low conversion rate of scientific and technological achievements are the main factors restricting its economic development.As an important part of the social innovation system,universities’ innovation performance directly determines the level of regional innovation and affects economic development.Therefore,in order to optimize the allocation of innovation resources in Shanxi Province,improve the innovation level of Shanxi Province,and accelerate its economic development,it is of great practical significance to study the impact of the network structure of the industry-university-research cooperation on the innovation performance of universities.Based on this,this article first summarizes the domestic and foreign literature on the industry-university-research network,university innovation performance,and the relationship between the industry-university-research cooperation network and innovation performance,and determines the research content and research methods based on existing gaps and deficiencies.Deep learning of related theories such as industry-university-research cooperation,social networks,and innovation,has laid a solid theoretical foundation for the successful completion of the subject.Secondly,this paper analyzes the current situation of the industry-university-research cooperation in Shanxi Province.And combined with the local characteristics of Shanxi Province,it explores the influence mechanism of universities’ betweenness centrality and structural holes in the network on their innovation performance,and the role of knowledge reserve in regulating this relationship.Based on this,the paper puts forward research hypotheses.Thirdly,from the perspective of cooperative papers,the paper retrieves the industry-university-research cooperation status of 20 colleges and universities in Shanxi Province on the CNKI Retrieval Platform.And it builds a cooperation network based on Pajek software and uses negative binomial regression model for empirical analysis.Then,it analyzes the empirical results and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions from the four levels of universities and scientific research institutes,the government,enterprises and institutions,and the overall industry-university-research cooperation based on the current situation of industry-university-research cooperation in Shanxi Province.Finally,the main research conclusions of this paper are elaborated and their shortcomings are pointed out as well as prospects for future related research.An empirical test based on the above logical steps leads to the following conclusions: First,There is a significant promoting correlation between betweenness centrality and academic innovation performance in Shanxi’s industry-university-research cooperation network,and the effect of betweenness centrality on the economic innovation performance of colleges and universities is significantly higher than academic innovation performance and technological innovation performance.Secondly,structural holes can inhibit academic innovation performance and technological innovation performance of colleges and universities,and they are highly significant.However,they have a significant promotion effect on the economic innovation performance.Third,when the amount of knowledge reserves regulates the relationship between betweenness centrality and university innovation performance and the relationship between structural holes and academic innovation and technological innovation performance,the promoting effect of absorptive capacity is greater than the inhibitory effect of organizational inertia,showing a positive regulating effect;While regulating the relationship between structural holes and economic innovation performance of universities,the promoting effect of absorptive capacity is less than the suppressing effect of organizational inertia,showing a negative regulating effect.Based on the research background of Shanxi Province,this paper measures the innovation performance of colleges and universities from three dimensions:academic,scientific and technological,and economics.It empirically analyzes the influence mechanism between the network position of colleges and universities and its innovation performance on the industry-university-research cooperation network,and specific adjustment effect of knowledge reserve.It fills the gap in the research on the relationship between the network structure of industry-university-research cooperation and the innovation performance of colleges and universities,and provides guidance for the optimization of resource allocation in Shanxi Province.It has certain theoretical and practical significance.
