In this era of rapid economic development and profound social transformation,it is necessary for colleges and universities to not only stress the fundamental research but also implement scientific studies that fully exploit the cluster edge of intelligence and orientate to the major contradictions and important problems revealed in the economic&social growth,thus to better perform the obligation of providing public services.The industry-university-institute cooperation serves as the approach to fulfill such an obligation.The complexity of industry-university-institute cooperation has brought itself with multiple problems that have been affecting its sustainability and stability all along,such as the benefit maldistribution,unclarified responsibilities,two-way trust crisis,etc.Therefore,the academic community is paying attention to the effective methods to enhance the performance of industry-university-institute cooperation.Despite the long-continuing stream of previous literatures that looked into the industry-university-institute cooperation,most of them rather focused on how the two concerned partners managed the cooperative relation and comprehended the macro policies than probed into the research teams,which were the minimum units participating in above cooperation,to develop the knowledge about which factors of these teams could impede the performance improvement of according project.Teamwork assumes the essential component for the execution of industry-university-institute project based on the task-oriented system,while the insufficient effectiveness of teamwork in the research segment of above project constitutes a significant attribute that restricts the research proceeding and output efficiency.From the perspective of research teams,this dissertation established a system of influencing factors for industry-university-institute projects,which included four primary indices(including team vision,team structure,team dynamic capabilities,etc.)and twelve secondary indices(including moderation of team scale,etc.),that was elicited from our in-depth analysis,after referring to previous academic outcomes,towards the performances of industry-university-institute projects as well as the connotations&compositions of the "research team" and other concepts.We collected data from distributed research questionnaires and determined the weights of above influential factors according to the result of the Analytic Hierarchy Process,thus to identify the factors actually exerting major impacts on the enhancement of industry-university-institute project performance.The dissertation ended with our advice on the strategies of performance development as concluded from the case study.The research outcome of this dissertation is not only generated from an innovative perspective but also able to provide instruction and reference for the key state laboratories in colleges and universities that attempt to join industry-university-institute cooperation and promote project performance.
