With the development of Information Technology,human society has entered the information age.Information Technology plays an important role in guiding the production and living practice of human beings.Using GIS technology to develop high school geography school-based curriculum is not only beneficial to the construction of geography school-based curriculum with the characteristics of information age,but also beneficial to the popularization of the application of GIS technology in middle schools.In addition,"2017 General High School Geography Curriculum Standards" proposed that high school geography one of the core literacy is geography practice ability.Because the school organization carries out the geography field investigation activity to be restricted by many aspects,therefore very difficult truly effective enhancement student geography practice ability.As a kind of research activity which can be done on campus,geographic information experiment can improve students’ ability of geographical practice in various aspects.In the present has certain research value.Based on the relevant application of geographic information technology(GIS),taking the campus exploration as the core and the geography school-based curriculum as the main research object,this paper analyzes the necessity of applying GIS to the development of school-based curriculum.From the strategy of school-based curriculum development,the concept of development,content direction,basic principles,resource conditions,technical means,and specific processes are expounded.Finally,through the concrete case to carry on the application research.This paper reviews the current situation of the application of geographic information technology in geography teaching by means of Literature Review,through the case law and the information technology law,a complete set of geography school-basedcurriculum development process based on the application of geographic information technology is designed.It is concluded that GIS is suitable for the case design of school-based curriculum development of "campus exploration" and the detailed operation steps of GIS-based software.Finally,it summarizes the advantages and thinking of using geographic information technology development.Based on the analysis of educational resources of Guangzhou No.seventy-five Middle School,this study uses the technologies of UAV photography,remote sensing image and Arc GIS spatial analysis,developing A school-based curriculum that uses geographic information technology to solve practical problems in social life and is suitable for exploration in schools,supported by the design and production steps of the case "exploring our school",two case designs of school-based Curriculum Development based on geographic information technology are completed.It also describes the detailed steps of technical operation in the process of school-based curriculum development,and provides teaching reference for front-line teachers when designing cases with similar functions of GIS.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)campus exploration can stimulate students’ desire to explore and improve their ability of geography practice.(2)the geography information school-based curriculum is advantageous in preventing the disconnection between the teaching material knowledge and the problem-solving ability.(3)the support of geographic information technology is beneficial to the normal development of school-based curriculum.
