As the main force of social development,contemporary college students face various pressures of study,life,employment and emotions.The pressures and the influence of the external environment make their mental health problems more and more serious.The construction of mental health quality has become the new solution.Self-esteem is the core part of mental health.Physical self-esteem is a specific field of self-esteem.It can evaluate its own situation,understand the degree of satisfaction or dissatisfaction of individuals in all aspects of their bodies,and predict the mentality of people’s exercise.The situation has therefore been favored by researchers in recent years.Female college students have special characteristics in their university stage:first,their values are in the period of shaping and cultivating,and the level of self-awareness is constantly changing;secondly,because of the deeper understanding of gender characteristics,female college students pay more attention to their own appearance and body image,the degree of self-satisfaction is directly related to their academic performance.The aerobic pedal exercise is rhythmic and active,meanwhile the movement is clear and powerful.It may have a positive impact on improving the physical self-esteem of female college students.Therefore,this study selected 60 female college students,dividing them into experimental group and control group.From the aspect of practice and psychology of physical exercise,with the aerobic pedal operation as independent variable,body self-esteem and various dimensions as dependent variables,the effect of aerobic pedal exercise on the physical self-esteem of ordinary female college students was discussed..The main findings are as follows:1.The level of physical self-esteem of ordinary female college students is not optimistic,at the middle and lower levels.Before the experiment,there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the five dimensions of body self-esteem,self-worth and exercise ability.2.After the experiment,there were significant differences in the five dimensions of body self-esteem and self-worth,exercise ability and physical condition.After the experiment,it was higher than the experiment,which indicated that the aerobic pedal exercise teaching can be applied to ordinary female college students.Physical self-esteem has a positive impact.3.After the experiment,there were significant differences in the body self-esteem and self-worth,exercise ability,physical condition and body attractiveness after the experiment,and the experiment was higher than before the experiment;the difference in the physical quality dimension was not significant..That is to say,the popular aerobics teaching has a positive impact on the four sub-dimensions of the physical self-esteem and self-worth of the ordinary female college students,and the effect on the improvement of the physical quality dimension is not obvious.4.The difference between the experimental group and the control group in the total dimensions of body self-esteem,physical fitness and body attractiveness reached a significant level,and the difference in self-worth,exercise ability and physical condition did not reach a significant level.That is to say,aerobic pedal exercise can effectively promote the level of physical self-esteem of ordinary female college students,especially in the two dimensions of physical fitness and physical attractiveness.
