With the deepening of education and teaching reform,curriculum leadership,as the core leadership to enhance the quality education ability of principals has become the research object of many experts and scholars.How the principal can plan the curriculum "panorama" according to local conditions and keep pace with the times,and lead the whole school teachers and students to effectively implement the national curriculum,local curriculum,research and development of school-based curriculum is the key to promote teachers’ professional development,students’ all-round development and personality development,and the development of school connotation.In order to improve the quality of compulsory education in an all-round way and better implement the "strategy of rural revitalization ",this study focuses on the curriculum leadership of rural primary school principals,based on combing the relevant literature and combining the actual situation of rural primary schools,and discusses the current situation and outstanding problems of rural primary school principals’ curriculum leadership in the form of narration,interviews and empirical research,and finally finds out the countermeasures to solve the curriculum leadership problems of rural primary school principals.In this study,the author divides the principal’s curriculum leadership into four dimensions: the principal’s curriculum planning ability,the principal’s curriculum resource development ability,the principal’s curriculum implementation ability,and the principal’s curriculum evaluation ability.Through in-depth interviews,narrative research and practical observation of 4 rural primary school principals,the outstanding problems of principal’s curriculum leadership are as follows: 1.The principal’s curriculum planning ability shows the lack of curriculum planning,the lack of democracy in curriculum planning;2.It is difficult to practice the concept of "people-oriented ",the evaluation orientation of " multi-element and harmony ",the subject,content and mode of evaluation.In view of the existing problems,this study found solutions to the outstanding problems of curriculum leadership of rural primary school principals: 1.Regional value guidance and learning is the starting point of principal curriculum leadership;2.Rich curriculum resources are the characteristic points of principal curriculum leadership;3.Effective implementation is the key point of principal curriculum leadership;4.Proper evaluation is the turning point of principal curriculum leadership.In this era of pursuing curriculum quality,rural primary school principals devote themselves to the reform of the new curriculum with enthusiasm: starting with the renewal of the principal’s ideas and ideas,understanding the policy and educational policy of the country through multiple channels and all directions,clarifying the educational goal of curriculum planning and the value of talent training;starting from strengthening the knowledge of curriculum leadership,improving the principal’s own theoretical basis of curriculum development and reform;improving the principal’s curriculum implementation ability from the continuous learning of management knowledge,especially school administration knowledge;and improving the principal’s curriculum evaluation ability from clarifying the principal’s administrative role and curriculum leadership role;In practice,we should consolidate the principal’s ability of curriculum innovation and constantly reflect on the principal’s own practical ability of curriculum leadership in order to promote the process of a new round of basic education curriculum reform.
