The Research On The Separation And Separation Bonorum Of Bai Minority Of Dali

This dissertation takes Yunlong Nuodeng as a field site.Based on the basis of collecting and sorting out private contracts,it tries to interview Nuodeng villagers,observe the villagers’ family situation,and analyze the behaviors of the Bai people’s household division and the social – cultural significance through the ethnographic fieldwork and literature analysis.This dissertation is is explicated over five chapters.The introduction chapter mainly introduces the research background and the field overview.The chapter one mainly analyzes Nuodeng’s family types and property composition.Under the impetus of various factors,Nuodeng families are towards the nuclear family form obviously,and the composition of family property has also been changed from the cultivated land in the past to the current housing foundation.Besides that,the brine also disappeared from the family property.The chapter two explores the form of Nuodeng’s household division,focusing on the reasons,principles and ways of division.The reasons are divided into familial internal factors and social external factors.The principles include the equal division of the sons,the single line stress and the double line stress.The ways of division can be classified into collegiate childbirth,confinement childbirth,litter childbirth and will childbirth.The chapter three illuminates the application of different principles in specific cases when the Nuodeng Bai people divide various types of family property,and points out that Zong You’s succession can only be inherited by a single line,while other family properties are favored by a double line.The chapter four analyzes the cultural meaning and social significance for the behavior of household division,and points out that the historical traditions and developmental trends of the Nuodeng Bai household division reflect the typically ancestral worship.Also,the attitude of local people for the equal treatment of the “door-to-door son-in-law” fully shows the tolerance of the Bai people.The dissertation also considers the status of women in the Bai family and the intergenerational relationship in the local families through different cases,and discusses the challenges of Zong You’s inheritance and the living expenses of the elderly.
