| Self-control is a core concept in personality construction and an essential component of self-consciousness.A good self-control is the premise and basic guarantee for children’s self-development and self-realization.Therefore,based on a literature review of the previous theoretical and empirical research on children’s self-control,this study,using the literature,questionnaire,observation,interview and other research methods,took 111 children,222 parents and 10 teachers in five middle classes of a kindergarten in Dongguan City as the subject.Based on the analysis of the development status and influencing factors of self-control of 111 middle class children in the kindergarten,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The four dimensions of the middle class children’s self-control,including overall and self-consciousness,persistence,impulse inhibition,and self-delayed gratification,are all in the middle level.(2)There are 16.12%,15.31%,18.12%,18.02%and 20.72%children in the four dimensions of overall self-control,conscientiousness,persistence,impulse inhibition,and self-delayed gratification,which are below the average level.(3)In the middle class of the kindergarten,female children’s overall self-control and self-consciousness,persistence,impulse inhibition and self-delayed satisfaction were higher than male children,but the difference was not significant.(4)The family structure,the weekly time of parents’company,the way of upbringing,the purpose,the subject,the content,the method of education and the evaluation of the regular education in the kindergarten all affect the self-control of the middle class children.According to the above conclusions,the following Suggestions are put forward from family and kindergarten:The one-child family creates opportunities for children to get along with their peers and increases conflict situations to promote the development of self-control.Three generations of families with the same parenting style to help children establish a correct view of right and wrong;Parents should increase the effective time to accompany children every week and pay attention to the role of words and deeds in children’s self-control development.Establish a scientific view of family education,adopt a democratic upbringing,and guide children to learn self-control.To improve children’s self-control as one of the goals of regular education;Let children participate in routine making to enhance the internalization of rules and improve self-control;The arrangement of daily living time gives teachers corresponding flexibility,and the regular content accords with the characteristics of children’s physical and mental development.Pay attention to the role of "recessive" education,and use the educational mode of experience construction.The evaluation subjects are diversified,and the evaluation contents are mostly concerned with children’s internal development,and the positive evaluation is mostly used.Strengthen home cooperation,form a joint educational effort,and jointly improve the level of children’s self-control development. |
