With the promotion of three player basketball by the International Basketball Federation,the number of domestic three player basketball matches is increasing.But at present,there is a lack of three person basketball referees in the society,so it is very important to strengthen the training of three person basketball referees for the good development of the project in China.Through literature review,most of the researches on basketball referees focus on the current situation,necessary quality,training mode,professionalization and influencing factors of basketball referees,while the researches on three person basketball referees are few.As a judge of the game,basketball referees have high requirements for physical,psychological quality,reaction speed and intelligence due to the particularity of their work.Literature shows that the reserve force of basketball referees in China is weak,the echelon construction is not perfect,and the high-level referees are in short supply.Based on the theory of competency,this study uses behavioral event interview,checklist and mathematical statistics to explore the competency of three person basketball referees,and finally establishes the competency model of three person basketball referees.It is expected to be used in the selection,training and performance evaluation of three person basketball referees,so as to meet the needs of professional referees in the three person basketball competition.The main work of this study is as follows:First,based on the competency theory,read the previous literature,analyze and extract the competency vocabulary,and initially establish the three person basketball referee competency checklist;Through the pre interview and behavior event interview to the three person basketball referees,practice and improve the interview skills;the official interview to the tested referees,establish the final three person basketball referees competency checklist.Second,make an appointment for the three person basketball referees and make an interview,and complete the interview for all the referees.The judges who have participated in the three person basketball match will be given the competency checklist,the final competency vocabulary will be selected,and the competency dictionary will be compiled.Third,transcribe the interview into text to form the original data of this study.This paper uses competency dictionary to analyze and code the text,finds out the common benchmark competency of referees and the distinguishing competency of excellent performance referees,and finally establishes the competency model of three person basketball referees.The research conclusions are as follows:1.This research initially constructs the competency model system of three person basketball referees.2.Competency model includes benchmark competency,discriminative competency and situational interpretation of competency vocabulary.Benchmark competence includes 12 items,which are fairness and justice;on-the-spot management;response speed;accuracy of punishment;on-the-spot experience;on-the-spot feeling;stability of punishment;insight;expression ability;prediction ability;decisiveness;tacit understanding with the executive partner.The discriminative competence includes 13 competencies,which are proficient in rules and refereeing methods,anti-interference ability,cooperation ability,reasonable punishment scale,professionalism(morality),attention,on-the-spot vision,psychological state,observation ability,sense of responsibility competition,pre preparation meeting,emotion management.3.The three person basketball referees competency model system constructed in this study,and sports leaders The competency models constructed in the domain research are consistent,but the specific competency is different.Compared with the field of management and psychology,the research content and depth need to be improved,but this study opens up a new perspective for the research of referees in the field of sports.
