With a population of less than 3 million,Lithuania has become a basketball powerhouse and one of the world’s top nations.Every year,Lithuania produces a steady stream of basketball talents,who are distributed around the world to start their basketball career and show their super basketball level,which is due to its perfect basketball reserve talent cultivation.However,at present,there is little research on the training of basketball reserve talents in Lithuania,and there is little research on the training of basketball reserve talents in Europe.The author used the opportunity of learning,training and competition in Lithuania sports university for nearly one year to conduct field research,formed a clear and objective understanding of the training of Lithuanian men’s basketball reserve talents,and tried to provide a strong reference for our country in the training of basketball reserve talents.This paper selected the training of Lithuanian men’s basketball reserve talents as the research object,and studied the training of Lithuanian men’s basketball reserve talents by means of field investigation,questionnaire survey,literature review and expert interview,and reached the following conclusions:1.Basketball is so popular in Lithuania that it is known as a "second faith" in addition to Catholicism.The good basketball atmosphere is directly related to the strong support of the Lithuanian government and the clear division of responsibilities of the basketball association.2.The closely connected professional basketball league system enables more young players to obtain professional opportunities.The Lithuanian men’s professional basketball league is divided into three levels,from the top down: Lithuanian basketball league(LKL),Lithuanian national basketball league(NKL),and Lithuanian regional basketball league(RKL).At the end of each season,the promotion and relegation system will be implemented between different leagues to avoid the occurrence of negative games.It is worth noting that RKL,the third-tier Lithuanian regional basketball league,is divided into groups A and B,with the highest level in group A and no restrictions on teams and players in group B,in order to give more young players the opportunity to enter the professional league.3.There are two main forms of training for basketball reserve talents in Lithuania,including public basketball schools and private basketball schools.Public schools account for the majority of the training.Young children can learn and play basketball with less tuition.And flexible education system makes the students rarely have contradictions between "learning" the emergence of sports schools only responsible for students’ training and competition,the students in normal school math teaching,between 2 PM to 3 o ’clock will end on the day of the academic,devoting themselves to their basketball in sports after school training,and the game is usually at the weekend.Perfect youth league system,so that students get more opportunities to play,from the actual experience to improve the ability to play.4.Lithuania has a perfect training system for coaches,a strict training system for coaches,and a large number of learning seminars so that coaches can promote each other’s learning and progress.Young coaches have many opportunities to consult experienced and capable old coaches.The financial support and welfare benefits of the Lithuanian basketball association make excellent coaches willing to devote themselves to the training of grassroots athletes. |
