Study On Strategies Of Social Work Intervening To Targeted Poverty Alleviation In L Village

At present,the principal contradiction facing Chinese society has evolved.What we now face is the contradiction between unbalanced and inadequate development and the people’s ever-growing needs for a better life.Poverty is a typical instance of unbalanced and inadequate development,and rural area is the most obvious area of them.Implementing the strategies of targeted poverty alleviation is a major measure to solve the problem of unbalanced and inadequate development in China.Based on the fundamental realities of the country,if only using the single power of administration,anti-poverty work will face insurmountable limitation.A scientific and effective way is needed to help China win the battle against poverty.As a highly concerned professional field of social development,the systematic intervention of social work has become the focus and innovations in China.L village is designated as a poverty-stricken village by G province,and the poverty alleviation unit is a national key university--H University.H University stationed a poverty alleviation cadre majoring in social work to L village.Based on this situation,the anti-poverty work in L village has achieved good results.During the two years of graduate study,I had long-term interaction with the L village poverty alleviation cadre and other staffs,participated in the work of social work intervening to targeted poverty alleviation in L Village.By using literature research method,this study analyzed and studied the intrinsic relationship between social work and targeted poverty alleviation through four aspects: fit,necessity,professionalism and practical experience.By using interview method and participatory observation method,the first-hand materials and practical experiences of social work intervening to targeted poverty alleviation in L village were collected.This study conducted a comprehensive study on the actual measures and actual results in the targeted poverty alleviation work.Based on the empirical basis of L village,this study combined advantage perspective theory,empowerment theory,social support theory,summarized the intervention strategies of “created a link bridge,mounted a sight and weaved a social support network”.It can make up for the deficiency of social work and targeted poverty alleviation,improve the theory of social work and the professionalism of targeted poverty alleviation,provide reference for the exploration and formation of more scientific and effective strategies and paths for targeted poverty alleviation.
