Study On Contemporary College Graduate Employment From The Perspective Of Gap Space Theory

This dissertation,based on the gap space theory of the space philosophy of Marxism,makes a research on the employment situation of Chinese college students.It takes colleges and universities of Fuzhou city as case subjects.In 2014,up to 7 million college graduates are flooding into the society.If not properly arranged,various social problems will be bred and becomes a hidden danger for the society.The author has been worked on the college since graduation,and therefore is very concerned about the employment problem of college graduate students.It is hoped that this paper may serve as a reference for further studies and help to promote the reform and development of higher education.1000 college graduates of 7 universities have been issued questionnaires randomly.Aspects of job-choosing concepts,employment skills and entrepreneurial intentions have been surveyed,and data obtained has been sorted out.The author has also interviewed relative leaders and experts and has gathered information on college specialty settings,school ideas and national policies.Based on these,problems and difficulties of college graduate employment have been summed up and analyzed.Through investigation and generalization,it has been considered that the difficult situation of graduate employment stems from the planned economic system to a great extent.It includes the co-existence of institutions with formal positions and private economy and people’s views and values of"steel bowl".To truly solve the difficult problem of college graduate employment,the decisive role of the market in resources allocation must be brought into full play.A sound social security system for college graduates should be established to urge college students to focus on their own abilities and highlight the importance of social security.
