Marx and Engels’ s life was a life of struggle for the revolutionary cause of the proletariat, and his idea of the alliance of workers and peasants was also put forward in the study of the workers’ movement in the peasant country and in the analysis of the reality of the proletarian revolution, and was produced in the objective need to sum up the experience of the failure of the movement and formulate the tactics of struggle.Witnessing the exploitation of workers and peasants and experiencing the low tide of the failure of the workers’ movement,Marx and Engels devoted himself to changing this situation, finding a new direction for the workers’ movement, and clearly defining the idea of the alliance of workers and peasants in the struggle against a variety of erroneous ideas.Marx and Engels’ s idea of the alliance of workers and peasants was inseparable from the change in his understanding of the peasants, and the first thing that aroused Marx and Engels’ s attention to the peasants’ problems was sympathy for the miserable situation of the peasants in the Rhine region of Germany, but the study after sympathy made Marx and Engels initially think that the peasants were scattered, backward and even reactionary, and that the comfortable life of self-sufficiency made them unwilling to follow the proletariat in the revolution. But this is not the final result of Marx and Engels’ s research,Marx and Engels gradually realized after the defeat of the revolution in 1848 that in peasant countries such as Germany and France, the strength of the peasantry is a factor that cannot be ignored in the proletarian revolution, the peasants not only have a conservative side, but are also revolutionary,so it is feasible for the working class to form an alliance with the peasants. But the integration of the peasants into the proletarian revolution is not a wholesale reception of the peasants, but also a scientific analysis of the peasants and the insistence on the differential treatment of small peasants, middle peasants, large peasants and large land occupiers, which is also an important part of Marx and Engels’ s thinking on the alliance of workers and peasants. The content of Marx and Engels’ s ideas on the workers’ and peasants’ alliance can mainly be analyzed from the aspects of the basis, conditions, principles, and objectives of the workers’ and peasants’ alliance, which solves the problem of the possibility and necessity of the establishment of the workers’ and peasants’ alliance, and is also a response to how and for what the workers’ and peasants’ alliance is established. After the death of Marx and Engels,Lenin took over the task of establishing the workers’ and peasants’ alliance in the backward countries, practicing and developing Marx and Engels’ s ideas on the workers’ and peasants’ alliance, and effectively consolidating the proletarian power in Russia; The Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Alliance under the leadership of the Communist Party of China is even more the inheritance and further development of Marx and Engels’ ideas on the Workers’ and Peasants’ Alliance.Marx and Engels’ thinking on the alliance of workers and peasants still has important value in China, which has entered a new era,and has profound guiding significance for China’s socialist modernization construction, the implementation of the strategy of comprehensive rural revitalization, the promotion of the integrated development of urban and rural areas of workers and peasants, and the consolidation and development of the alliance of workers and peasants in the new era.
