Post internship is a very important part in vocational education.In recent years,with the increasing emphasis on vocational education,the number of students in higher vocational colleges has been increasing.At the same time,various problems occurring during post internship are becoming more and more prominent,especially the lack of effective relief for personal injuries suffered by students,the serious phenomenon of interns working overtime,as well as the lack of protection of legitimate rights and interests such as salary.How to protect the rights and interests of students during their internship has become a common concern of students,parents,and society.Taking Shanghai A Polytechnic College as an example,conducting questionnaires to313 students and 65 enterprises as the survey object,a thorough investigation was conducted into the basic conditions of student internships and the protection of students’ rights and interests,including their right to education,rest and vacation,the remuneration,personal safety and insurance.Based on the interview results of college staff and consulting the relevant materials such as the internship management system of the college,discusses the common problems in the protection of the rights and interests of higher vocational students during internship.Due to the lack of related laws,imperfect post internship system,nonstandard management,insufficient teachers,lack of rights protection institutions,insufficient rights protection education for students,insufficient constraints on internship enterprises in higher vocational colleges,as well as internship enterprises’ cognitive deviation and nonstandard management of student identity,all above reasons lead to the insufficient protection of various rights and interests of students.This paper analyzes the reasons for the infringement of various rights and interests from the legislative level,college management level,internship enterprise level and students’ personal level,and finally focuses on the perspective of college management,summarized the countermeasures of protecting students’ rights and interests in higher vocational colleges.From the perspective of the college,first of all,college should clarify the management system of internship to ensure that there are rules to follow;Secondly,college should provide sufficient teachers and financial guarantee for internship;Third,college should improve the management level of post internship,strengthen the attention to practice mobilization and the management of internship contract,implement the whole process management and dynamic monitoring;Finally,college should establish a rights protection organization to protect the rights and interests of internship students and effectively safeguard the interests of students.In terms of interconnection between college and enterprise,college should formulate an access mechanism for internship enterprises to protect students’ post internship rights and interests from the source;at the meanwhile,strengthen communication with internship enterprises and clarify the responsibilities of all parties.In terms of student education,colleges and universities should also strengthen the training of students’ awareness and ability to protect their rights.In addition,the State should establish and improve relevant laws and regulations and relevant supporting policies,and speed up the revision process of the Vocational Education Law;internship enterprises should earnestly fulfill their responsibilities and obligations of education and strengthen the protection of the rights and interests of internship students.The state,local governments,higher vocational colleges,internship enterprises and students should form working forces and establish a system of safeguarding their rights and interests during the internship period. |
