’Making full use of patriotic education resources contained in major commemorative days and major historical events,organizing a series of celebrations or commemorative activities and mass theme education ’ are the key requirements of the implementation outline of patriotic education in the new era for enriching the carrier of patriotic education practice.The commemoration ceremony takes the traditional festivals,important figures and major events as an opportunity to realize the emotional infection,value internalization and behavior restriction of the educated in the process of teaching in the emotion,melting in the masses and combining emotion with reason,so as to achieve good patriotic education effect.The commemoration ceremony in patriotism education in the new era is based on ’ commemoration ’ as the main line,linking the past and the present in the memory,purposeful,planned,organized and standardized educational activities to enhance national awareness,sublimate patriotic feelings and guide people to report to the country.Exploring the theoretical,necessity and practicality of the application of memorial ceremonies to patriotic education is the purpose of strengthening the research on the methods and carriers of patriotic education in the new era and the realistic requirement for better carrying out patriotic education in the new era.This paper takes the“ memorial ceremony in patriotic education in the new era ”as the research object,guided by dialectical materialism and historical materialism,comprehensively uses the knowledge of ideological and political education,political science,anthropology and other disciplines,and flexibly adopts the methods of literature research and interdisciplinary research.It sorts out the relevant research status at home and abroad,explores the origin of Chinese and Western theories and traditional culture,explores the basic connotation,theoretical basis and value significance,and then puts forward the implementation path,so as to make the research on memorial ceremony in patriotic education in the new era more scientific,targeted and effective.Firstly,it focuses on the connotation,characteristics and types of memorial ceremonies in patriotism education in the new era,and clarifies relevant concepts and theories.The commemorative ceremony in patriotism education in the new era is composed of symbolic symbols,ritual time and space.Through means of symbolic meaning,situational setting and atmosphere creation,it promotes the practice process of educators ’ patriotic cognition,patriotic emotion and patriotic behavior.It has the characteristics of political education of theme content,emotional symbolism of connotation expression,and normative order of performance process.According to the
