| Recidivism has always been a complex crime that has attracted much attention,and may have greater social and personal dangers than initial crime.Effectively reducing recidivism is an important practice path for criminals to integrate into society and prevent crime,so is the subject of community correction.Therefore,it is necessary to study the re-crime prevention of the object of correction,which is of great significance not only to create a new situation of the community correction work and deepen criminal justice reform in the new era,but also to promote the modernization of the governance capacity and system for crime control.Through literature research,case study,and other research methods,the author studied the related issues from the perspective of social support.In the past two decades,China’s community correction practice has made remarkable achievements in all aspects,but it still faces some difficulties.From the perspective of correction subjects,community corrections practice has not yet activated the internal driving force of self-change of correction subjects,and their self-renewal and development ability is not good.In terms of the community,the open space for execution has not been fully utilized.On the aspect of correction system,the institutionalization of community correction still needs to be improved.Therefore,under the current difficult situation of community correction practice,whether and how the recidivism of subject will be affected by these difficulties is the important content of this discussion.To explore the internal relationship between recidivism and correction dilemma,we have to understand what problems the subject of correction are facing.Through combing the relevant cases,we believe that the problems are concentrated in four aspects: personal problems,family environment,social interaction and correction management.In this regard,under the framework of social support theory,it is believed that the connection between correction dilemma and reoffending behavior is the internal correlation between self-support,community support and institutional support and re-offending behavior.From the perspective of self-support,the weak position will lead to all kind of negative events,which are stressors,producing negative emotions and eventually leading to deviant behaviors.The subjective single acknowledgment of dual identity and the self-identity crisis of identity internalization affect individual psychology and behavior.From the perspective of community,the small scale of social support,the dysfunction of social support and the weak connection of social support all have an impact on the normal social interaction and re-offending behavior of the object of community correction and their return to crime.From the perspective of system,the supporting system of community correction lags behind the development situation of community correction,the construction of institutional team needs to be strengthened,the professional team needs to be improved,and the funding needs to be guaranteed.Otherwise,these will affect the correction effect and lead to recrime.Based on this,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions need to be put forward.Firstly,great importance should be attached to the role of community correction in the prevention of re-offending behavior,changing the traditional concepts,and advocating scientific punishment and crime view.Secondly,efforts should be made to promote the self-support and improvement of the object of community correction,improve their social cognitive ability,social communication ability and social survival ability,and make up for their own deficiencies.Thirdly,give higher priority to the reconstruction of the community support network to expand the scale of support and the involvement of multiple social forces,enhance the function of support to provide effective assistance,and strengthen support links to consolidate social bonds.Finally,institutional construction should be improved,including strengthening the institutional construction,enhancing the cooperation system,promoting the professionalization of the team,and advancing the community correction work. |
