With the development of urbanization in China,urban-rural combined areas and urban remote suburbs are gradually absorbed and integrated by the city and become new urban land,so farmers living in urban-rural combined areas or urban fringe areas have lost their housing, agricultural land, passively become urban residents. The social and economic environment and structure, management and the way of living customs of these new citizens are different from those of the original urban residents, and there are many problems in adapting to the subsequent life of the city. The report of the19 th National Congress points out that promoting urbanization construction is the only way to realize china’s socialist modernization,so solving the urban adaptability of farmers who have lost their land due to urbanization development has become an important task to be solved in promoting the construction of new type of urbanization in ChinaBased on the theory of sustainable livelihood, this paper constructs from the three dimensions of human capital, social capital and material capital to study the economic adaptation, cultural adaptation, life and ideological concept of land-lost peasants in the development of urban life, and uses literature analysis method and questionnaire method to comb and summarize the literature on urban adaptation, sustainable livelihood and land-lost peasants’ civilization at home and abroad, and analyzes and describes the adaptation status of land-lost farmers by standardized analysis and empirical research method. The main data of this paper comes from the questionnaire survey of urban adaptation of land-lost peasants in Wuhan City, and the analysis of the personal and family situation, social interaction, living environment and subjective thought of land-lost peasants is analyzed by USPSS20 data statistics software. The results show that there are some problems in adapting land-lost peasants to urban life, which are mainly manifested in three aspects: First,in the aspect of social interaction, the social interaction of land-lost peasants is closed, and the object of communication is single;Second, the subjective feelings of land-lost farmers, low sense of urban belonging, low participation rate of community activities;Third, the late protection is insufficient to adapt to urban life.Based on the above empirical analysis, this paper, starting from the theory of governance, puts forward the countermeasures to enhance the adaptability of land-lost peasants in the process of urbanization: to enhance the ability of individual livelihood accumulation,to create a good atmosphere of community integration,to build a social support environment for urban adaptation, and to improve the institutional guarantee of land-lost farmers. The research features of this paper are mainly reflected in two aspects: First, based on the survey data of land-lost farmers in Wuhan City,we find that the land-lost peasants’ cities adapt to the existing difficulties, combined with the actual situation, put forward feasible countermeasures to promote the adaptability of land-lost farmers;Second, this paper combines theoretical research with practical research, quantitative and directional research to explore the current situation of urban adaptation of land-lost farmers.
