Analysis Based On Mapping Knowledge Domain Of Psychological Research On Military Training

The analysis methods of mapping knowledge domain was introduced in this paper,using a software based on the theory of co-citation analysis and path-finding network algorithm called Cite Space.Through mapping the visible images,an overall distribution of psychological research on military training was displayed.And this paper visually made a study of the subject structure to get an extensional view of the further research,teaching and practical applicationin this field.First of all,by adopting the method of subject words retrieval,this paper split "psychology on military training" into three directions of "military","military training" and "psychology".Relevant literatures at home and abroad were searched and screened in CNKI database and Web of Science database respectively,and 2,354 domestic literatures and 3,385 foreign literatures were obtained.Secondly,based on the retrieved literatures,the software Cite Space was used to draw the map of scientific knowledge in the field of psychology on military training at home and abroad.In the domestic part,the author’s co-appearance network,the institution’s coappearance network and the keyword co-appearance networkwere drawn,along with the annual distribution map and the disciplinary distribution map drawn according to the bibliometric data.In the overseas part,the author’s co-appearance network,the institution co-appearance network,the journals co-citation network,the literature co-citation network,keywords and terms co-appearance network were drawn.Thirdly,combined with the drawn knowledge maps and literature data,the status of psychological research on military training at home and abroad were comprehensively sorted out and analyzed.The spatio-temporal distribution,discipline distribution,knowledge basis,the main force for research,main line and frontier subject of domestic and foreign research were obtained respectively.And the research category and the development process of the four stages in domestic research were analyzed.Also,it is concluded that the foreign researches are with veterans affairs institutions as unique research platforms and notable characteristics of actual combat.The final conclusion of this study showed the basic overview of this field is that:(1)The research in the field of psychology on military training has obvious clinical psychology attribute and is an applied field of psychology;(2)the intellectual base is mainly in the field of military,military medicine,clinical psychology and spiritual diseases research,which shows the “service attributes” of regarding psychological protection and mental health as the main goals,along with the “combat attributes” of enhancing the combat effectiveness as the fundamental goal;(3)psychological research on military training is derived from the attention to the psychological phenomenon in military activities.It has developed into two main lines of research focusing on the promotion of psychological factors and the problems caused by psychological factors.Moreover,psychological training has become a common concern at home and abroad.Finally,through gapping analysis in domestic and foreign research,it is recommended that 7 aspects of countermeasures should be pay attention to,which are the overall planning of scientific research projects,the unimpeded channels of military and civilian academic exchanges,the application of research results and feedback,the research and application of military families and social resources,the psychological services for veterans,the system construction of actual combat training,and the cultivation for professionals.Then,it also put forward a preliminary conception of constructing the teaching content system of the direction of psychological research on military training in the military academies.
