Cadet Training During The Psychological Quality Of The Training Mode

Servicemen have always been endowed with high expectations and heavy responsibilities by the community. As an important place for the training of prospective officers, military academy plays a very important part in training newly-recruited cadets, developing their strong psychological qualities, thus enabling them to become qualified contemporary officers in future. Therefore the study on the training of new cadets is of major significance. With the progress of the times, traditional training methods have been unable to meet the needs of today's society. Their weak points are mainly reflected in the following aspects: 1,insufficient humanities consideration to the cadets ; 2,less stress on key points of training contents ; 3,rigid training methods; 4,the improper "degree" of compulsion and restriction. The-above points are even more apparent in the training of new cadets. The present author believes that the main reasons are: 1,mistakes in thinking and ideology; 2,Too much stress given on the military characteristics thus causing neglect of the fact that the training targets are psychologically immature high school graduates; 3,the uneven theoretical level of commanders and their practical ability yet to be enhanced. The thesis first introduces the psychological quality education of servicemen, attaches great importance to their psychological training; points out the requirements on psychological quality in traditional wars, analyzes and predicts the new requirements on the psychological quality for servicemen in the high-tech information warfare in future; and puts forward the overall objectives and tasks of psychological quality training for contemporary servicemen. Based on the Analysis of the case of newly-enrolled cadets in a military academy, the present author elaborates features of the training period of new cadets and their psychological characteristics and points out the shortcomings of psychological quality training of new cadets at present stage. With the aid of results obtained from previous surveys and reference to training modes of psychological quality in foreign military academies, the thesis clarifies the significance of strengthening the development of psychological quality during the training of new cadets, discusses the short-term goal during this specific period of the training of new cadets, puts forward a new training content which emphasizes adaptability, self-confidence, achievement-oriented motivation and setback resistance, and defines the new training methods mainly through education and guidance.
