A Study On The Problem Of Providing For The Aged Of The Lost Only Family In Cities And Towns

In China’s traditional ideas,the traditional idea of "three unfilial,no offspring for the big",therefore,China’s "many sons,many blessings,children and grandchildren" is an important indicator to measure the elderly spend a peaceful old age.Although the two-child policy is open,but at present,China is still mainly one-child families,such a family structure has a certain risk,when unfortunately become a lost only child family,the parents of the family will face the plight of no one to provide for the aged.In recent years,the number of families with only one child lost in China is growing.In the process of providing for the elderly,the problem of providing for the elderly in the family with only one child lost has received more attention.This paper is based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,social support theory and the theory of pluralism.Drawing on the existing research results,using the methods of literature research and empirical research,based on the current situation of the elderly in Hengshui City,this paper objectively analyzes the economic income,health care,mental state and living conditions of the elderly in Hengshui City This paper analyzes the needs and problems of the elderly in the process of providing for the aged,and puts forward some feasible suggestions,so as to provide help for the elderly in the city.The problems faced by the elderly who lost their only child mainly include the following aspects.From the economic perspective,the income of the elderly in the families with only one child lost is generally low,and the source is relatively single.Although there is government subsidy,the living standard has not improved significantly.In terms of life,after the parents who have lost their children have experienced the pain of losing their beloved son,their living habits have changed greatly,and the grief of losing their children is reflected in the life of the elderly all aspects;In terms of health,the health level of the elderly gradually declines after they enter the old age stage,but for the elderly who have lost their only child,they can only rely on their spouse to take care of them;in terms of spirit,the parents of the families who have lost their only child have a very bad mental state,and some parents even have the idea of suicide;in terms of policy,the elderly who have lost their only child rely on the old-age security The system is not perfect,the old people who lost their only child have no way to protect their legitimate rights and interests through the provisions of the law.Based on the analysis of the problems existing in the process of providing for the elderly in Hengshui City,and combined with the actual situation of our country,the specific measures to solve the problem of providing for the elderly in urban families with the loss of one child mainly include:We should make clear the responsibility of the government,constantly improve the construction of the support system for the families who have lost their only child in the process of providing for the aged,constantly explore the support methods suitable for the families who have lost their only child,and improve the economic support for the families who have lost their only child.With the improvement of the living standards of the residents,the basic economic living standards of the elderly should be guaranteed,and the pension fund should be established;we should improve the medical security system and attach importance to the groups who have lost their only child The mental health of the elderly in the family of losing their only child should be guaranteed.
