Community volunteer is an important force that can not be ignored in the community governance of our country.However,compared with developed countries and first and second tier cities,county volunteer service is just emerging and facing many problems.The reason is that the imperfect incentive mechanism of volunteers is one of the important reasons for the low development level of county community volunteer service.Therefore,how to improve the incentive mechanism of county community volunteers,encourage more people to join in the volunteer team,so that the sustainable development of social services,which is the issue to be faced.Using the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and SPSS statistical analysis,this paper takes 10 community volunteer organizations in S County of Jiangsu Province as samples to investigate and summarize the existing incentive mechanism of volunteers.First of all,this paper investigates the current situation of the incentive mechanism of community volunteers in S County.Secondly,it finds out the shortcomings of the current incentive mechanism and analyzes the reasons.Then,it draws on the successful experience at home and abroad as the inspiration of S County.Finally,it puts forward the corresponding incentive measures based on Maslow’s demand level theory.The conclusions are as follows:(1)incentive mechanism and service motivation of community volunteers complement each other.Based on the linear regression analysis,it is found that the purpose of volunteer participation in community service is to help others and contribute to self altruistic motivation.Of course,I also hope to improve my motivation of self-learning and development by participating in activities.(2)After investigation,it is found that the incentive mechanism of county community volunteers is closely related to the incentive mode,and the comprehensive satisfaction of volunteers to the current incentive mode is not very high.(3)Volunteers’ basic needs,basic rights and interests protection,sense of belonging,spiritual and material incentives and personal ability development can not be met.(4)Based on the successful cases at home and abroad,combined with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,this paper puts forward incentive measures to ensure the physiological,safety,social belonging,respect and self realization of community volunteers in S County.
