Study On The Role Of Local Government In Rural Tourism Development

With the rapid development of China’s economy,people’s living standards have been improved,and life concepts have also changed.Various pressures in cities have prompted people to long for a leisurely idyllic life,thus greatly promoting the rapid development of rural tourism.The development of rural tourism in attracting a large number of tourists at the same time,to promote farmers to increase income and become rich.To revitalize the nation,rural areas must be revitalized.Although China’s rural tourism started late,but with the strong support of governments at all levels,rural tourism into the fast track.The development of rural tourism in Shanxi province can be roughly divided into two stages.The first stage is from 1993 to 2002,and the second stage is from 2003 to now.No matter which stage,the government’s policy support,planning guidance and capital investment played a very important role.Nowadays,rural tourism in Shanxi Province is constantly standardized,and the tourism pattern is initially mature,making rural tourism gradually become an ecological,green and rich industry for people and counties.Especially under the background of rural revitalization strategy,rural tourism promotes the development of all aspects of rural areas and becomes one of the important ways to achieve poverty alleviation and prosperity.But at the same time,rural tourism in Shanxi Province is still in a stage of gradually improve,and the development of good brother provinces,cities and countryside has not formed a clear advantage,part of the country,there are all kinds of difficulties in developing this requires that the government will still play its positive role and push the development of rural tourism,thus to achieve the transformation and upgrading of the Shanxi Province.In Shanxi Province as an example,this paper adopts literature research,case and the research method of combining theory by using the theory of market failure,the public goods theory and new public service theory,from the policy guidance,development planning,public service and supervision and management aspects of in-depth analysis of local government in the development of rural tourism in Shanxi Province,and also discusses the deficiencies,and analyzed the reasons and puts forward related Suggestions.
