As the vanguard of fire disposal and the main force of emergency rescue, firefighters have great responsibilities for the safety of citizens. With the continuous improvement of national requirements for the professionalization of firefighting teams,in order to ensure the combat effectiveness and execution ability of firefighting teams, firefighters need to improve their physical fitness and professional ability through a certain intensity of physical fitness and firefighting professional skills training. While in daily training, due to the particularity of individual differences in physical fitness, unbalanced exertion, and asymmetry of professional ability demand training, injury has become an important problem for firefighters. In response to this problem,an attempt is made to evaluate and predict physical flexibility, stability, and symmetry through functional action screening, effectively avoiding the risk of firefighter training injuries and reducing the occurrence of injuries, and helping firefighters understand their own functional movement limitations and weak links, improve firefighters’ self-protection awareness, and effectively prevent training injuries. In this study,60 firefighters of the fire squadron in Yangpu District,Shanghai were screened for functional actions in 7 action modes through the test method. The action modes were scored according to the screening standards, and the final score was the addition of the 7 action modes. We will also record firefighters’ scores and conduct 6-month training damage tracking monitoring.Through mathematical statistics,ROC curve is used to calculate the firefighter training injury risk threshold, and the odds ratio(OR value)is calculated, and logistic regression is used to analyze the risk factor of firefighter training injury, and the chi-square test is used to analyze the relationship between asymmetry and training injury.Results:(1)The average score of tested firefighter’s functional is 15.63,with the lowest score being 12 points and the highest score being 19 points;in the single test, the average score of the single-leg hurdle crossing action mode is 1.78,which is lower than 2.There were 38 asymmetric firefighters and 22 symmetrical firefighters, accounting for 63.3% and 36.7% respectively. In the screening of single-leg hurdles and shoulder joint flexibility, the scores on the left and right sides were different(P=0.018<0.05),(P=0.035<0.05).(2)By analyzing the total score of the firefighters’ functional action screening and the sensitivity and specificity of the damage, the area under the ROC curve was0.814(P=0.001<0.05).Through the functional action screening score corresponding to the maximum value of the Youden Index, the firefighter training injury risk threshold is set to 15.5 points, and the risk value(OR)is calculated to be 7.105.(3)The logistic regression model was used to analyze the individual action mode scores and training injuries of the function movement screen. The test found that squat(P=0.037<0.05)one-legged hurdles(P=0.009<0.05),shoulder flexibility(P=0.012<0.05)three action mode scores have a significant impact on the injury.(4)The function movement screen results showed that there were 38 firefighters with asymmetry.9 were injured,29 were uninjured, and the injury rate was 23.7%;while there were 22 firefighters with symmetrical.Among them, the number of injured was 2 and the number of uninjured was 20.The injury rate was 9.1%;but there was no significant difference between the two groups of injuries(P=0.288>0.05).Research Conclusions:(1)The flexibility and stability of the knee and ankle joints of the tested firefighters need to be strengthened, and most of the tested firefighters have physical asymmetry problems.(2)The function movement screen score of 15.5 points can be used as the firefighter training injury risk threshold and predict the risk of firefighter training injury.Firefighters with a score lower than 15.5 are more likely to be injured than firefighters with a score higher than 15.5.(3)Squats,leaping over the hurdles, and shoulder flexibility in single action modes have a certain predictive value for firefighters’ training injuries. The screening results of the three action modes should be paid more attention.(4)Asymmetry cannot be effectively predicted as a risk factor of firefighter training damage alone.
