Research On Engels’ Family Thought And Its Contemporary Value

Engels in the "German ideology","Ludwig feuerbach and the end of the German classical philosophy" and "the principles of communism,the communist manifesto," the origin of the family,private ownership and state "and so on work in this paper have been carried out to the family,with the development of the theory unceasingly,Engels founded the scientific and systematic family thought.Engels’ family thought contains rich contents.On the basis of historical materialism,he systematically explained the conditions and attributes of the family,profoundly revealed the nature of the family,discussed the development of family and marriage in different social forms,pointed out the power of family development,and discussed the relationship between love and marriage.This paper criticizes the materiality of bourgeois marriage and family and the hypocrisy of marriage morality,and puts forward the basic characteristics of ideal family and the way to realize ideal family on the basis of communist theory.Engels’ rich family thoughts not only provide a guiding ideology for the study of family theory in China,but also help us solve the problems existing in the current family construction,which is conducive to the ideal health of marriage and family in China.
