The rectification movement is an important part of the self construction of the Communist Party of China during the Anti Japanese war.It is not only a sharp weapon to overcome all kinds of bad ideology and work style in the party,but also an effective way to shape the political culture of the Communist Party of China.At the same time,it is the key to the success or failure of the party’s cause.Taking the rectification movement in the Soviet Central China Anti-Japanese Base Area as the research object,this paper investigates and analyzes the historical background and theoretical basis of the rectification movement in the Soviet Central China Anti-Japanese Base Area through the methods of literature research,comparative research,case analysis and subject comprehensive analysis,summarizes the development stages and main characteristics of the movement,and summarizes the specific achievements and shortcomings of the movement,From this,we can get the historical experience and provide beneficial enlightenment for the party building in the new era.As one of the 19 liberated areas under the leadership of the Communist Party of China during the Anti Japanese War,the Soviet Central China Anti-Japanese Base Area has rich products,prominent geographical position and important strategic position.It is a must for the enemy,the puppet,the bandit,the stubborn,the friend and me.The party,government and army organs at all levels in the Soviet Central China are in such a complex environment,all kinds of ideology and work style will inevitably affect themselves,especially some problems of non proletarian ideology and work style,improper style of study,Party style and writing style exist seriously in the Soviet Central China Anti-Japanese Base Area.Therefore,the Soviet Central China Anti-Japanese Base Area must carry out rectification movement to solve these problems,which is the inevitable requirement to deal with the complicated multilateral struggle in the Soviet Central China and meet the arrival of the great counter offensive.The rectification movement in the Soviet Central China Anti-Japanese Base Area is a general Marxist education movement.The thoughts of Marx,Engels,Lenin,Stalin and Mao Zedong on Party building are the important theoretical basis of this movement.The rectification movement in the Soviet Central China Anti-Japanese Base Area is mainly divided into three stages,which contains rich and colorful practical contents.In terms of mobilization methods,the people of the Soviet Central China mobilized mainly through holding meetings,issuing relevant policy documents,writing articles,creating ballads,and propaganda and persuasion;in terms of educational forms,the movement mainly relied on some organizations,which contain rectification class,rectification team,Learning Journal of Suzhong,Party School of the Soviet Central China and so on,and some texts,which contain Yu Minghuang’s new outlook on life,learning magazine of public school of the Soviet Central China,Party conduct and so on.In terms of educational content,the movement mainly includes the education of study style,current affairs,party spirit,theory and so on.Many achievements have been made in these rectification practices,such as the transformation of the bad ideology and work style of a large number of Party members and cadres,the closer relationship between cadres and the masses,and the establishment of the concept of serving the people wholeheartedly.The key to all these achievements lies in adhering to the leadership of the Communist Party of China.However,while achieving these remarkable results,the movement also has some shortcomings,such as formalism in the wall newspaper or paying too much attention to the change of form and ignoring the improvement of content quality and lax work organization,dogmatism tendency in making rectification notes and "coercion,confession and faith" in the final stage of rectification.Although the movement has these shortcomings,it still has a wealth of historical experience,such as propaganda and education through examples,caring for students to promote the rectification movement,and giving play to the spirit of criticism and self-criticism.These experiences provide practical enlightenment for the party’s ideological construction and style construction in the new era.
