Research On Government Functional Mechanism In Entrepreneurial Ecosystem From The Perspective Of New Venture

Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as a way to stimulate economic growth and promote employment.New ventures continue to grow and create lots of value.With the prosperity of global entrepreneurship,the entrepreneurial ecosystem has aroused widespread concern as an important organizational system for improving regional entrepreneurial activities and promoting economic development.Recently China is in a critical period of “second transformation”,encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship is a significant strategy and the government attaches great importance to the creation of entrepreneurial ecosystem and the cultivation of new ventures.However,current researches on entrepreneurial ecosystem mainly focus on its concepts and characteristics,internal structure,operation and evolution mechanism.Extant literature are still far from clear about the mechanism of multi-agent interaction in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.Especially in the context of China,government,as focal actors,affect and regulate the process and pattern of entrepreneurial ecosystem,but its functional mechanism has not been clearly defined.In this context,the thesis analyzes the deficiencies of existing research,applies the grounded theory to carry out the research on the functional mechanism of government in entrepreneurial ecosystem,defines the support behaviors of government,establishes the government’s functional mechanism model and makes a specific interpretation.Specifically,the work includes two main parts:(1)This thesis encodes the data and extracts 19 specific support behaviors of government;then summarizes them into 7 types of government’s support behaviors in the context of the entrepreneurial ecosystem,including market development support,new ventures’ cultivation support,funding support,incubation support,resources gathering and matching support,industrial ecological cultivation support and environmental optimization support.(2)On the basis of clearly defined government’s support behaviors,the thesis further defines and analyzes their functional mechanism from the perspective of new ventures,and finally build the functional mechanism model of government’s support behaviors for entrepreneurial ecosystem from the perspective of new ventures.According to the model,the functional mechanism of government’s support behaviors includes two levels.The first one refers to the government’s support behaviors which directly or indirectly affect the new ventures,to help them grow.Then,the growth of new ventures feed back to the entrepreneurial ecosystem by influencing the diversity,network and symbiosis of entrepreneurial ecosystem.The research should enrich the theoretical research of entrepreneurial ecosystem,as well as provide some reference for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship,and stimulating sustained economic growth.Moreover,this is also a new research direction worth further contribution.
