From The World To The State

The concept of state is mainly about the understanding of state problems,the general concept of what form of state power should be established and constructed.The evolution of modern China’s concept of state is a process of deepening the understanding of the essence of the state and unremitting exploration of national construction.The advanced Chinese intellectuals have shifted from the "West" to the "East" and from the bourgeois state concept to the Marxist state concept in their exploration and practice from the world to the state,from soverignty to sovereignty to the people,from monarchy-constitutionalism to democratic republic-people’s democratic dictatorship system.The bourgeois state concept served as an "unconscious tool of history".The failure of the bourgeois state system in modern China prompted the modern Chinese to choose the socialist system.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part elaborates the significance,ideas,methods,emphases and difficulties of the research,and summarizes the research status of the development of modern Chinese national concepts.The second part defines the conceptual scope of "world outlook" and "state outlook" discussed in this paper.The third part explores the process of defining the concept of "state" in modern Chinese society under the historical background of the invasion of Western powers,and the germination of the concept of Chinese nation in the process of explaining and practicing the concept of bourgeois state by advanced people.The fourth part explores how the bourgeois concept of state evolved into a theoretical guide for the transformation of the state system in modern China around the 1911 Revolution,and the positive role of the establishment of a Democratic Republic in the development of the modern concept of state and the establishment of the concept of the Chinese nation.The fifth part discusses how the Marxist concept of state came into China’s vision after the failure of the Democratic republic’s national construction program in modern China’s practice,how the Communists of China explored and practiced the socialist state system under the guidance of the Marxist concept of state,and how to actively develop the concept of the Chinese nation in this process.The evolution of modern China’s national concept is not smooth sailing.Countless modern Chinese advanced personages have promoted the rise and fall of feudal autocracy,capitalism and Marxism in China by exploring outward and inward.In such a historical process,we have gained valuable historical experience.Constantly strengthening anddeveloping the concept of the state is an important condition for safeguarding national sovereignty and guaranteeing people’s democracy.The concept of the state should always conform to the continuous development of the world situation.It should be rooted in the soil of our own culture and also absorb the essence of foreign culture.Throughout the difficult historical process of modern China’s choice of Marxist state concept and socialist state system,we should see that new concepts and systems are not easy to come by.We should also be confident of Marxist state concept and create a better future of socialist country based on reality.
