Entering a new era marks that China’s development has entered a new historical height.As social contradictions change,The Times change.In material culture need to a better life under the realistic demand of understanding people need the essence and connotation,from there in real social life of the individual person and their needs,analysis of the history of the people’s living needs and constraints to restrict people’s good need new era,explore the new era of "better life" the implementation of the path,constantly promote the all-round development of people,all the people common prosperity.This paper,based on the Marxist theory of needs,uses the method of literature induction to sort out and summarize the connotation of people’s needs for a better life,and makes an in-depth study of the historical evolution of people’s needs for a better life in successive dynasties in China by means of the unification of logic and history.The people’s needs are increasingly diversified,mainly reflected in the need for abundant material resources,political needs for democracy and the rule of law,advanced culture,social needs for fairness and justice,and the need for a harmonious and beautiful ecology.Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,social wealth has been on the rise.The development of people’s living needs has been expanded in many aspects and at many levels,and people’s lives have developed by leaps and bounds.The contradiction between the imbalance in structure and the insufficiency in total quantity still restricts the satisfaction and realization of the people’s needs for a better life.Therefore,the new background of The Times requires that we must be under the guidance of Marxist theory of needs,combined with the current specific reality of how to meet the needs of people’s better life for an effective way to explore.
