In recent years,face recognition technology is used increasingly,however less attention is paid to the protection of citizens’ personal biometric information.Therefore,the application of science,as well as technology and the protection of citizens’ personal biometric information have become a hot topic.The rapid development of face recognition technology brings not only convenience,but also risks,to our life and work.Once misused,it will bring serious impact on citizens’ personal biometric information.How to fully protect citizens’ personal biometric information in using face recognition technology is the focus of this paper.This paper,by analyzing the application of face recognition technology in China,sums up the risk faced by citizens in protecting their personal biometric information.Then by combing the current legal provisions of protecting citizens’ personal biometric information and comparing the restrictions and the legal mechanism both at home and abroad,this paper further puts forward suggestions on the legal regulation.Specifically,to promote the balance between information protection and technology development to the greatest extent,this paper constructs a multi-dimensional judicial protection system from four aspects,namely special legislation,administrative supervision,judicial remedy,and industry self-discipline. |
