Research On Reporting Of Typical Military Characters From The Perspective Of News Narrative

As a unique propaganda report model in China,typical reports play an important role in social integration,role model demonstration,guiding public opinion,guiding work,and inspiring people to make progress.As a type of typical report,the report of typical military figures is an important means for the military to carry out ideological and political work.It guides officers and soldiers to increase their sense of identity with the current political system,enhances the cohesion of the army,improves the combat effectiveness of the army,and helps to reform and strengthen the army and demonstrate the image of contemporary revolutionary soldiers.With the deepening of media integration,the channels and values for military officers and soldiers to obtain information are becoming increasingly diversified,and reporting on typical military figures is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.However,there are not many studies on the reports of typical military figures,especially the reports of typical military figures after entering the new era.Based on this,the dissertation uses 517 typical personage reports published by the Liberation Army Daily from 2018 to 2020 as the research samples,guided by the theory of news narratology,and adopts the methods of literature research,content analysis and case analysis to explore the Liberation Army Daily "The narrative framework,narrative strategies,and narrative motifs of the typical character reports,found the problems in the content construction of the typical character reports of "Liberation Army Daily",and proposed solutions to the existing problems.The dissertation can be divided into the following parts:the introduction part,which mainly introduces the research background,research significance,research methods and literature review of the selected topic;chapter one,analyzes the content of 517 typical character reports in "Liberation Army Daily";chapter two analyzes the narrative framework of the typical characters reported by the "Liberation Army Daily" from the three perspectives of narrator,narrative perspective,and narrative focus;chapter three,from the two narrative forms of journalistic narrative and story-based narrative,analyzes the narrative strategies of the character reports;chapter four analyzes the narrative motifs of the typical character reports of the "Liberation Army Daily";chapter five,through the analysis of the research data and results of the first four chapters,trys to find out the problems in the content construction in the field of representative characters of the "Liberation Army Daily",proposes the solutions to the existing problems;the concluding part,mainly summarizes the research results and existing deficiencies of this research.The study found that the narrative framework of the typical character reports of"Liberation Army Daily" is mainly divided into three parts:narrator,narrative perspective and narrative focus.As for the narrator,public narrator narratives are often adopted.In terms of narrative perspective,narratives are mostly based on limited knowledge.In terms of narrative focus,it mostly focuses on the four groups of grassroots front-line combatants,national defense and military research personnel,anti-epidemic medical staff,and veterans;in terms of narrative strategies,the reports of typical event characters often adopt news-based narrative strategies,that is,balance strategies,narrative structure selection strategy.Non-event reports of typical characters mostly adopt story-based narrative strategies,that is,a combination of scene strategy,perspective strategy,grand narrative and daily narrative;in terms of narrative issues,there are mainly two aspects of patternization and subjectivity.Modalization is embodied in the mode of production and writing,and subjectivization is embodied in the subjectivization of report content,narrative techniques,and gender stereotypes of female soldiers.In response to the existing problems,this research proposes four solutions:perfecting the production mechanism of typical reports,advocating storytelling narrative writing techniques,enhancing the news literacy of media personnel,and increasing the humanistic care of female soldiers.
