Research On Career Values Of Slash Youth From The Perspective Of Post-Modernization Theory

Recently,with the rapid development of China’s economy,China’s society has entered the industrial society from the agricultural society.The young people in our country who grew up after the reform and opening up have richer material conditions than the previous generation,and have different thoughts on life and occupation.Many "compound" young talents emerge,with slash youth as a typical example.They try their best to seek spiritual self-realization while ensuring their own living security.There is a conflict between the emergence of slash youth group and the traditional objective evaluation standard in modern society.Based on the theory of modernization in the future,through in-depth interviews,text analysis and other methods,this study explores slash youth’s choice,evaluation,contribution,coordination,development tendency,concept,etc.of two or more occupations,so as to understand slash youth’s career values.The interviewees in this study all have a main job in a regular time and a deputy job with flexible time control.They are very inactive in one job and very active in another job.They have different attitudes towards the choice of two jobs,their professional concepts,their professional development,the significance of their professional life and their professional identity.Through in-depth interviews and N-Vivo qualitative analysis software,the author summarized the current situation of professional values of slash youth groups who have two jobs.This group chooses the main job through the factors of working environment and welfare guarantee.Due to the small promotion space,most of them are not positive about their attitude and are conservative about the risks in their work.Therefore,the significance of the main job to this group is mostly limited to the material significance.As for the deputy work,an important starting point for the group to choose the deputy work is their interests and hobbies.As a result,they get spiritual satisfaction in the self-realization of the deputy work,are also more positive in their attitude,are also actively facing and more open to risks in the work,and strive to seek the development direction.The significance of the deputy work to the group is also mainly in the spiritual significance.The different professional values shown by slash youth groups for the two professions reflect the different value orientations of traditional,modern and non-modern.These three professional values exist in the group’s value system at the same time,which is the embodiment of " compression of time and space " in the aspect of professional values,the choice made to balance the work of earning a living and decent work,and the embodiment of Marxist theory of free and all-round development.Under the circumstances of great employment pressure and widespread employment anxiety,slash young individuals in this study have provided individuals with the strength to fight anxiety by drawing clear boundaries between primary work and secondary work.
