Ganzhou Zhanggong District Road Traffic Accident Analysis And Strategy Study Based On Data Analysis

Being the top country in terms of vehicle ownership,China has been merging into automotive society by taking 30 years’ efforts which cost 70 years for developed countries to achieve.However,these improvements are accompanied by increasingly intensified contraction of passengers,vehicles,roads and environment,road congestion and frequent accidents.Roadtraffic-accident-prevention and road-safety-promotion become one of the most critical and crucial social problems.Thus preventing fatal traffic accidents and avoiding transportationrelated fatalities and injuries are the uppermost priority.Therefore,analysis on road traffic fatalities and key leanings from accidents are of great significance on guidelines of road traffic fatality prevention.Road traffic accident has geographical characteristics,requiring identified analysis.The current domestic research on road traffic accident conditioned by data source and quality is of micro perspective,resulting in weak pertinence of its countermeasure.Hereby,this essay chooses major accidents between 2008～2016 in Zhanggong District in Ganzhou as object of study,combining local economic,social and geographical status as well as road traffic management situations.By inputting and sorting data from Traffic Police Department,drawing on the experience of data collecting and sorting of accident analysis of US and Japan,this essay formulates the analysis of distribution,comparison,cross,causes and importance degree calculating on factors of passenger,vehicle,road and environment and summarizes the characteristics of traffic fatalities and priorities of prevention in this area with proposed prevention countermeasures as an outcome.The key findings of the analysis include: due to its underdeveloped economy,concentrated and populated urban area and of Zhanggong District,intensive and economical transportation solution is of great demand.Currently,since two-wheeled-vehicle ranks the top vehicle for number of ownership,major accidents related include traffic fatality,unlicensed driving,drunk driving,hit-and-run,etc.Two-wheeled-vehicle is not only the most important transportation vehicle of Zhanggong District but also the key of accident prevention.This essay proposes preventive measures in four aspects: people,cars,roads and environment.
