Research On Artistic Expression Of Historical Documentary ——The Weathered Middle East Railway

As an important type of documentary,historical documentary takes historical events and historical figures as the main theme and historical documents as the main content to reproduce history truly and objectively.Historical documentaries play a very important role in national memory and cultural inheritance.A country without documentaries is like a family without photo albums.In recent years,with the increasing improvement of the aesthetic level of the audience,historical documentaries have enhanced their artistry and storytelling on the premise of ensuring the authenticity.They use a new narrative method to re-examine history with the aesthetic concept of contemporary documentary creators,so that the dusty history is no longer hidden in the long river of years,but told to the audience with fresh stories.With the progress and development of society,people’s aesthetic needs have also changed.The pace of innovation in the domestic documentary industry continues to accelerate,and many new forms and expressions have emerged.Taking the graduation work "East Road in the wind and rain" as an example,combined with other historical documentaries as research samples,combined with relevant theories,this paper discusses the creative methods of historical documentaries."East Road in the wind and rain" takes the travel experience of "I"-a young traveler who has a strong interest in history as a clue,reproduces the major historical events around the Middle East Railway with special effects technologies such as camera tracking and three-dimensional modeling,and enhances the artistry of the historical documentary.At the same time,historical documentaries express their themes through language description,scene reproduction,character interviews and literature materials,present vision through rich picture language and various lenses,make the finishing point of sound elements such as simultaneous sound,commentary and background music,and combine various narrative methods to perfectly combine documentary and story.
