Among the modern Guzheng music works,there are some Guzheng tunes created with the elements of ethnic minority music.By summarizing the relevant literature and data and combining the author’s experience in learning how to play the Guzheng over years,in this thesis,"Little Sisters of the Grassland","Flowers and Teenagers","Fantasia","Muqam Prologue and Dance"" and "Spring Dawn on Snow Mountain",these five Guzheng tunes created with the elements of ethnic minority music will be further explored with the method of analytical summarization.To explore how the elements of ethnic minority music collide with Chinese nationality musical instrument Guzheng to produce chemical reactions from the aspects of harmony,rhythm,and musical structure.And from a comparative perspective,the creation characteristics and performance styles of these five Guzheng pieces are analyzed.The specific contents are as followed:The introduction part clarifies the reason for choosing the topic,and sorts out and analyzes the relevant domestic research status and academic achievements that have reference value for the topic of this thesis.Finally,it summarizes the research methods used in this thesis.The first chapter analyzes the application of ethnic minority music elements in the five modern Guzheng tunes.This part mainly expounds the minority music elements used in the five Guzheng tunes,and analyzes how to use them in the Guzheng tunes.Especially the imitation of the sound effects of the morin khuur,erhu,Miao drum and other musical instruments,and the special performance of the Guzheng,which is a new breakthrough in the creation of modern Guzheng music.The second chapter is the characteristics and comparison of the five modern Guzheng pieces in terms of harmony,rhythm and structure.This part mainly analyzes these five Guzheng tunes in detail.It not only uses a wealth of harmonic means,but also creates the composition with the structural characteristics of the two parts and three parts conceived in the western music style.The third chapter is the overall interpretation of the five modern Guzheng tunes.This part makes a detailed analysis of the word-by-word style of Guzheng music from the aspects of musical and emotional expression,and summarizes its characteristics.For example,in the "storm" segment of "Little Sisters of the Grassland",due to the characteristics of the Guzheng,the keys are temporarily shifted during the performance,which vividly reflects the raging "storm".The fourth chapter is a comparative interpretation of the five Guzheng pieces with different acoustic versions and playing styles.This part mainly compares the sound versions and playing styles of different performers of the five Guzheng pieces,and summarizes the characteristics and values of different performers’ playing styles.In particular,Mr.Wang Zhongshan’s performance is skilled,elegant and free,and the music is soft and beautiful.
