Contemporary Zheng Music Sense Of Innovation And Its Performance Practices

How to inherit and develop our own traditional national music, and how to use more effectively, more practically the modern composing skills of the west are always the problems which Chinese contemporary composers are thinking when creating music. This paper, based on the contemporary new music works of Guzheng, analyses those new points step by step from composing skills such as tone and scale, melody, chord,rhythm. From these we can know some composers' thought of discarding old ideas and bringing forth new ones, make an inquiry into the problem that is how to combine western modern composing skills with Chinese traditional national tones, and expound necessarily the relevant problems such as content and form, creation and tradition. Then it can enlighten the development of contemporary national music composing profitably.
