| Yimeng Mountain is a large-scale national opera created and performed by Shandong Song and Dance Theater and jointly presented by the Publicity Department of Shandong Provincial Party Committee,Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and Linyi municipal government.It’s one of the National Excellent Stage Art works and the Excellent National Performance works.It tells a story during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.In the background of the Breakout of Daqing Mountain and the Battle of Yuanzi Cliff,the story is about how Haitang,Lin Sheng,Sun Jiulong and other anti-aggression fighters connect individual fates with the nation and unite the military and the people to fight against Japanese aggression in anti-Japanese base areas.It fully embodies the Yimeng Spirit.Yimeng Mountain: the Immortal Father and Mother is selected as the research subject as this section takes an important part in the whole opera.It’s also one of the core arias of the whole opera.In this section,the story reaches the climax and presents the theme of the opera.Three chapters are included in this thesis.In the first chapter,thorough research and exploration are conducted on the creation background,the plots and the character Haitang of the opera Yimeng Mountain.In the second chapter,the melody structure,the rhythm and the lyrics in the section Yimeng Mountain: the Immortal Father and Mother are analyzed.In the third chapter,individual singing performance is interpreted and analyzed from the perspectives of character vocalization,breathing controlling,emotion expression and stage performance.Through a series of studies,the stories behind the opera Yimeng Mountain are understood,the great love and the personal affections of the character Haitang are examined,the solid foundation for building the character is laid and theoretical basis for singing this section is established. |
