An Exegesis Study Of Wu Yi’s Qunjing Yizheng

Wu Yi（1755-1799）,courtesy name Xugu,nicknamed Xiaoshi,also known as Banshishanren,was a native of Yanshi,Henan.He was a very prominent representative of Qianjia scholars,and was a famous scribes,local historian,epigrapher and writer at that time.Quanjing Yizheng is a summary of the contents and commentaries of the seven classics.It is a valuable research material in the study of exegesis.It is rich in content and detailed in textual research.In his case,he not only used handed down documents as corroborating materials,but also paid more attention to unearthed documents,which is a major feature of his treatment of classics.The study of Quanjing Yizheng is of great value to the study of Wu Yi’s exegesis thought.At present,no scholars have done special research on Qunjing Yizheng,and the exegesis value of Qunjing Yizheng is also a treasure that cannot be ignored in exegesis.Taking the exegesis content of Qunjing Yizheng as the research object,this thesis classifies and summarizes the exegesis content and exegesis methods of Qunjing Yizheng,and on this basis summarizes the achievements and shortcomings of Wu Yi’s exegesis.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this thesis is divided into four parts:The first chapter is about Wu Yi and his exegesis practice.The second chapter is the exegesis content of Qunjing Yizheng,and the content is divided into ten subcategories,namely,identification of characters,phonetic pronunciation,Shenjingyi,doubtful text,reading of clear sentences,interpretation of names and objects,interpretation of characters,and examination system,release geography,release ritual system.The third chapter is the exegesis method of Quanjing Yizheng,which is divided into nine categories,namely,using form to find meaning,seeking meaning from sound,seeking meaning from traditional teaching,inferring meaning from text,knowing meaning from different texts,and understanding meaning from different texts.Textual research,grammatical analysis,analogy,and classics（history）.The fourth chapter summarizes the achievements and shortcomings of the exegesis of Qunjing Yizheng.Through the analysis and research on the exegesis content and exegesis method of Wu Yi’s Quanjing Yizheng,it is believed that Wu Yi attaches great importance to the authenticity of materials and historical facts in textual research on the meaning of the classics.The same event is often recorded in multiple historical materials.Wu Yi will use comparisons and examples to find the historical data closest to the facts itself,as evidence.And because he loves golden stone inscription,the golden stone inscription stele extension also occupies a very important proportion in the supporting materials.The authenticity is very high,not only adding the events not mentioned in the previous notes and sparse,but also solving the problems left by the predecessors in it.It is a classics work that cannot be ignored in the field of classics research,and it is also a very important ancient book for exegesis.
