《The Analects of Confucius》 is one of the important Confucian classics. Forthousands of years, the emendation and annotation on 《The Analects of Confucius》are emerging in endlessly. For Huang Shisan, most forefathers devoted themselves tostudying his ritual study achievement; but for his outstanding achievement as anexegetical scholar, there are not many the researchers.《Annotation on The Analectsof Confucius》 is the very work which can give expression to exegetical scholar’sgreat achievement.But there’s no professional study on this literature at present, this is a pity. For thisreason, author began with the intensive reading of the text, made a comprehensive anddeep study on complete story, versions, compile ideology, exegetical content,exegetical method and hermeneutics achievement of Huang Shisan’s 《Annotation OnThe Analects Of Confucius》 according to three methods, they are the intensivereading of the text, comparative study and analyze and synthesis combined method. Itfilled up the important link in Qing dynasty 《The Analects of Confucius》history,then the deserved status of《Annotation On The Analects of Confucius》established in《The Analects of Confucius》 explanation history.This research emphasize the exegetical content and method of 《Annotation onThe Analects of Confucius》, striving to studying Huang Shisan’s exegeticalachievement and deficiency. For the exegetical study on 《Annotation on TheAnalects of Confucius》 and being familiar with Qing dynasty 《The Analects ofConfucius》 history and late Qing Dynasty study of Confucian classics, especially thedeep research of the east Zhejiang school late academic success has significantacademic meaning.
